The War at Home

I have been living in my apartment for 3.5 months now. My best friend moved out 2 weeks ago. I now live with the girl I sort of knew, JG, and a new girl from boston, M. The Real World is popular because you get to see what happens 'when people stop being polite and start being real'. The change from polite to real is very true. M has only been here a couple of weeks, and she seems pretty nice. She works a lot and often stays at her boyfriend's place. We will see if she is just still in the polite phase....

When I met JG, I was not a fan. She seemed fake, ditzy, and super girly. You just can't trust women like that. However, we have mutual friends. I started to warm up to her, and thought my initial impression was mainly because she was dating a guy I had feelings for. She decided late summer that she wanted to stay in LA and work. It is cheaper to live in a 3 bedroom, so I asked her if she wanted to live with us. I should have stuck with my first instinct. Reasons she is an awful roomate:

1. She and her boyfriend smoke in the house (cigarettes)
2. She leaves her bedroom door that is very visible from outside our apartment, open when she is gone (we could be robbed).
3. She leaves candles lit and the straightening iron on when she is gone. I would prefer not to burn down the place.
4. She often cooks and leaves weird smelling food out.
5. She blocked my car in when she went to the casino and wasnt even sorry about it.
6. She gets drunk most every night and is very loud at ungodly hours.

In other news: I am in a relationship. It's the first time that things have happened the way they are supposed to. It's weird, because I don't get sick of seeing him. He has met my extended family and wasnt too scared. He is coming up north with me for part of winter break and will meet my immediate family. Awesome things about him:

1. He is an engineer (this has never been a positive before)
2. He is an extremely picky eater (so am I)
3. He is nice, but not a pushover
4. He plays poker, drinks good beer, and likes football
5. He is very sarcastic

Anyhow, I have been pretty happy and am looking forward to break. Since I have three finals this week, I made time to go to the gym and update my blog. hehe. Back to studying...
