End of the Quarter Blues

So...its 10th week. Most of my friends are already on summer break. I made the foolish decision to visit my family last weekend. I thought it would be relaxing to get out of LA and I would return replenished for finals preparation. What it turned out to be was a huge tease that set me back in progress. It was extremely perfect weather in Sebastopol and many of my friends were in town. I went to a concert, a charity dance, the beach, and the driving range. I climbed, hot tubbed, drank good wine, and ate great food. I didnt get any studying done at all, and I got poison oak (over my legs and face mostly). So after shingles, poison oak, work, and academics...I am pretty miserable this week. Therefore it's time for another poem.

Before, it was a smooth granite 5.7
as perfect as Yosemite,
This type of route doesnt last for long on my wall.
Now I am struggling with a sandstone 5.10b,
The next pitch looks even more difficult,
My finger tendons ache and my forearms pulsate,
I am totally pumped and the holds turn chossy,
I am unsure how many more pitches are left to ascend,
How much longer can I climb?
